Bike-and-Ride

Snowmass Village is a Town built on the side of a mountain. So needless to say, commuting by bike to various locations in the upper village can be a challenge, even to the fittest of riders.

Bike-and-ride is a great option in the summer to utilize our region's vast and interconnected trails network and hitch a free ride once you've had your fill.

Bicycles on Racks

The Snowmass Village Shuttle welcomes bicycles on all of its buses during the summer months (please note that this is not consistent with RFTA's policies. Please review their website if you plan on boarding a RFTA bus). The number of bicycles each bus can carry varies. If the racks are full, it will be necessary to wait for the next bus.

*E-Bikes are not permitted on the Village Shuttle

Bicycles In Coach Area

Absolutely no bicycles allowed inside the coaches.

The Snowmass Village Transportation Department encourages passengers to ride their bikes for health and to reduce congestion on our roads. Please ride safely and abide by traffic laws.

WE-cycle - Free Community Bikeshare

With stations throughout town, and all e-bikes in the Snowmass Village fleet, WE-cycle is the quickest car-free way to cruise between dinner, shopping, and your lodging. Plus, you won’t break a sweat on your scenic ride - even to the upper village! Rides under 30 minutes are always free, thanks to WE-cycle, The Town of Snowmass Village, and RFTA.

Going to Aspen? Take the free bus and have a bike waiting for you there. WE-cycle is meant for short, around-town trips.
